The West Bengal chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India felicitated the newly admitted students in the field of medicine, engineering and law on Nov 18th 2013 at Bengal TB Association Hall, Park Circus. Md. Abdul Aziz, the Chief Coach of The Mohammedan Sporting Club was the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries such as Md. Mosiur Rahaman , State President of SIO West Bengal, Abdullahil Kafi, State Secretary, Md. Nooruddin, State President of Jamaat-e-Islami West Bengal, Abdur Rafique, State Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami West Bengal, Dr. Raisuddin, State President of Welfare Party of India were also present. In their address to the students, they all emphasized on being Islamic standard bearers besides being good professionals. Chief guest, Mr. Aziz said that we spend lot of time and energy for worldly affairs and so should be done for akhirah also. A special session dedicated for cultural presentation by SIO’s cultural wing, ‘Tamaddun Shilpi Gosthi’ was an important feature of this program. All the songs, poems and short plays presented carried moral lessons.
