Students Islamic Organisation of India, Malappuram district committee welcomed the approval of descriptive project report (DPR) and sanction of its 140 Crore Rupees grand-proposal of Malappuram Special Centre of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) by Expenditure and Finance Committee of Government of India. The centre was established here in 2010 after huge hues and cries. But it was into trouble due to insufficient funds and apathetic attitude of central government for getting approval for its DPR. Although the DPR had been submitted in 2010 but rejected twice.

A delegation of SIO district committee met Centre Director Dr. P.Muhammed and expressed their congratulations for his efforts to make project a reality. The delegation proposed some suggestions and ensured their support in future too. District General Secretary, Jaleel K.N, Organisation Secretary Nishad Kunnakkavu, Public Relation Secretary Ajmal V and Ajmal Kunnakkavu were a part of the delegation.
