A delegation from SIO visited MP Kunwar Danish Ali to express solidarity in the wake of the Islamophobic slurs he recently faced from BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri during a Lok Sabha session.

“Such verbal abuses against Muslims, especially within a democratic institution, are deeply condemnable and points to the alarming normalisation of politics of hatred in the country. Immediate action against Bidhuri must be taken, and Islamophobia should be criminalized to prevent such crimes in future,” stated Salman Mobin Khan, General Secretary of SIO, who led the delegation.

National Secretaries Imran Hossein and Sultan Hussain, and Asif Iqbal Tanha, Secretary, SIO Delhi, were part of the delegation.
