Pune, January 15,2012: Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) South Maharashtra has decided to organize three regional conferences in Mumbai, Pune and Nanded, which will cover the entire Maharashtra. These conferences are being organized to educate students about divine objectives of life. The conferences are aimed at inculcating balanced thinking, high morals and sense of responsibility and accountability.

First conference that was held at Mumbai on December 18, 2011, five thousand students participated. The conferences are entitled  ‘Apna Maqam Paida Kar’. Final conference will be held at Nanded on January 29,2012. Dr. Javed Mukarram Siddiqui (Renowned Scientist, Aurangabad) and  S Ameenul Hasan (Psychologist, Member Central Advisory Council, JIH) appeared  as chief guest, while  Br.Umair Anas(Member CAC, Sio) were the key speakers of the Pune conference.

The second conference was organised today at Kausar Bagh, Kondhwa, Pune.More than three thousand students, youth and parents including girls and women from different parts of Western Maharashtra including Pune were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion on the topic, Dr. Javed Mukarram said “You are the Builder of the New World” (Teri Nisbat Barahimi Hay: Memare Jaha tu hai) he said that Muslim Youths and Students must have confidence that they are the builders of this new era and they have a great task, purpose and objective to go ahead with. It is our collective responsibility to convey the message of Islam and peace to the whole world. We should develop skills and talents in ourselves to serve the society, he added.

S Ameenul Hasan from Bangalore, expressed his views on the topic “Hum Subah Yaqeen Hai” (We are the avow dawn of this world), started with the glimpses of the contemporary society and presented the dynamic changes in the world in various spheres. He also presented various statistics of budgets that are used only to serve the elite of the society, while poor people are still dying of hunger. He presented the statistics of various deaths caused due to hunger, riots and war.

He motivated the students to play their role as real students by adopting the following things
1.       First, present Islam by your character. Offer prayers, read Quran, read Seerat(Life of Prophet Muhammed(pbuh)), our walking, eating and living shall represent Islam. Our life shall not be wastage of time, involvement in crime and doing all evils. Purifying  your inner self is the key to success.
2.       Enrich yourself with Education. Excel in the field of education. Lots of new researches are creating a paradigm shift in human life. Never drop education, if you find a financial problem SIO is with you.
3.       Social work : He told two very emotional stories about social work and motivated the students do indulge in this noble cause ,day and night.
4.       Dawah: today it’s the need of the hour to spread Islam, this is the real service of mankind.

Umair Anas, spoke on the topic “SIO-celebrating campus creativity”. “The present education system is full of materialism” He pointed. On the other side ISLAM gives a touch of spirituality for mankind while doing studies. SIO is calling with full enthusiasm to reform the educational system by research and study. He emphasized -changes which we intend to call must be first within us, within our family then in the society. We should stand against the evils of society” He added.

He told that this era is the era of change. Different changes are being taking place in the world like Tehrir Square, Wall Street protest, Anti corruption campaign in India, etc. but these changes are just the start of “A great change”. The need is to change the whole system which must be on the basis of peace and justice and only then “real change” can occur. “ISLAM is the only competent religion for this “real change”. Students and youth need to play a vital role in these circumstances. Students should know themselves; they should prove their abilities to the world. Second thing is social media, in the present world everyone has got power of media because of social networking; we must use them for the constructive purposes.

Finally with the thanks of Br.Shaikh Khizer (President,Sio Pune) program came to an end. SIO believes that it’s the start of revolution in students community of INDIA.
