by | Feb 9, 2012

The stream of conferences concluded with the third Grand Conference “Apna Maqam Paida Kar” in Nanded.
The Conferences were organised to remind students and youth of their divine responsibilities and to instigate them upon doing virtue, shunning evil and observing the divine guidance.

On 29th January 2012, at quarter to 7 the auditorium was packed with enthusiastic listeners who came from places of seven districts of Marathwada. The number kept increasing as the local population’s inflow was unrelenting. As the programme proceeded, the whole sight was filled with alert and keen audience, sitting on the chairs, floor of aisle and wherever one could find space to sit on. The programme concluded in about 3 and half hours, which was rather disappointing for the public as they were extremely passionate about listening the esteemed guests.

The Conference was graced by the presence of Mohd Azharuddin, National President of SIO; Malik Motesiem Khan Sb, Expresident SIO of India & Expresident AP Jamat e Islami; S Ameenul Hasan Sb, Expresident SIO of India & Member of Markazi Majlis e Shura of Jamat e Islami Hind and Er Nazar Mohd Madoo, President Jamat Islami Maharashtra.

The inaugural speech was delivered by the President SIO (South Maharashtra), Br Moizur Rehman; where he enlightened the audience of the purpose and agenda of the conference. Following that, Er Nazar Mohammad Madoo, in his address, reminded the Muslims as being the best and chosen people by Allah, bear the responsibility of conveying the message of Allah to Humanity. If they adapt to act in accordance with this message, they will be successful but if they fail to fulfill this duty, their lies the failure. This message has two dimensions, First it demands that we bring the internal revolution within us which is expected by Allah. Secondly, to convey this message to the external world and utilise all the existing resources in the best possible manner.

Malik Motesiem Sb expressed, that we the Muslim Ummah in totality are the makers of the world. But the essential potential and power to build the world comes from a deeper understanding of the God and his commandments. Islam established a world order based on Equality of humankind, Justice, Inquisition, and Virtuosity of man. Instead the present world is just the opposite of it. Muslims have to establish Deen with the help of Power of Iman, Power of Character, Power of Knowledge, Power of Technology, Power of Industry and Power of Science.

Er S Ameenul Hasan, said that a propaganda movement has been started against Muslims after 9/11. To relate Islam with terrorism, is most organised intellectual aggression against Islam. This includes 9/11, 26/11, Gujrat carnage, Serial bomb blasts. Etc. In this struggle, Islam has established itself. According to a report published in Saudi daily Ukaaz, 36,500 people have accepted Islam so far after 9/11. Between 5 to 6.5 Lac people are accepting Islam in the United Kingdom annually. From John Loren Booth, John Perkin , Pop stars and Beauty queens are being impressed by Islam.

This is due to simplicity of belief and rational Islamic laws. This echo is heard from Arab Spring to Occupy Wall Street movements. In these challenging situations, a Muslim student has to play a role of a responsible member of family, having an exemplary character in campus and a source of inspiration in this desperate society. He should contribute in terms of character of Prophet Yusuf (PBUH), to serve humanity with the message of Islam and uplift the Muslim society with education.

The President SIO of India, Mohd Azharuddin in his keynote address, “Discover Yourself” said, this is an era of revolutions. It is believed that ‘an ordinary man can change the society’. There are struggles against corruption, against tyranny, against social evils. But these are struggles that address to the peripheral problems of the society. Instead there is a need to change the basic and central worldview. Muslim students have to bring change through their profession and education. To uplift the ummah we need to make conscious efforts to bring economic stability of Muslims. Also we need to approach the power structures and houses of the society. Finally, in the struggle for an all encompassing revolution, we should just not be spectators but Muslims students should be forerunners of the movement. If we propagate the message of Allah to humankind that is where lies the rightful success of Muslims.

The programme was convened by Br Abdur Rehman, ZAC member of SIO (South Maharshtra). And was concluded by the vote of thanks by the Conference Coordinator Br Ikramuddin.
