State Level Essay Competition concluded in Gujarat

A prize distribution program of essay competition under the caption of ‘challenges before India and its way out’ was organized by SIO Gujarat Zone in which students of graduation and post graduation were participated.

Dr. Shakil Ahmed (President, JIH Gujarat) who was invited as chief guest of the program said that today the society is passing through a critical situation, and the unfortunate part of this situation is that we are responsible for such situation. Actually we should be the solution and not be the problem.

Sohel Sachora (Ex. Zonal Secretary, SIO Gujarat) stated with reasons that huge population is no way an issue to the country, we need to change our mindset and motivate the creative thinking. Umar Vohra (Secretary, IRCG) strongly criticizing the contemporary education system said that fascism, communalism and injustice are the part and parcel of our ‘defective’ education system.

President SIO Gujarat Br. Vasif Husen said, difference of opinion is between us, which can be removed by mutual talk. The change cannot be brought until we understand each other faiths and beliefs. Through this way we can move the country towards development and prosperity and desired positive change.

Saiyed Aisha (G.D. Modi College of Arts, Palanpur, Dist. Banaskantha) stood first in the competition whereas Gusai Ashok Giri (Gujarat Vidhyapith, Ahmedabad) and Farhana Banu (R.P. Bhalodiya Women’s College, Rajkot) stood 2nd and 3rd respectively. The top three winners were given cash prize of 7000, 5000, and 3000 along with certificate and momentum respectively. Moreover first top ten winners were also given consolation prize.
