As part of a week-long Campaign by Tamil Nadu chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) against Wine outlets run by the State government, a massive Signature and Poster campaign was organised by SIO Vaniyambadi.

As per a press release, SIO opines that liquor is affecting the public at large and student community in particular. Furthermore, the average age of Alcohol Consumption in Tamil Nadu has come down to 13 years.

A ‘Signature Campaign’ was organised at the Priyadarshini Engineering College. 400 posters were pasted across the town and 6000 handbills were distributed among the masses.

Hostels were also visited, where short talks were held. Banners were put up outside Islamiya College and other public places. An Online protest was also organised in this regard.
