SIO Pune successfully organizes Basic Islamic Camp
Pune chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India successfully organized a 6-day Basic Islamic Camp (BIC) at ENA Foundation, Near Fakhri Hills, Kondhwa for students aged 8-14 years from 25 May to 30 May 2013. About 25 students attended the camp. The camp included Discourse of Qur’an, speeches on various topics such as ‘Bado ka Bachpan’, Prophet Adam(S) to Prophet Muhammad (S), behavior of children with Parents, Books of Allah, differences between Islam & Christianity, lives of Sahabas, Time Management, Academic planning, Pros & Cons of Internet, Documentaries on Islam, activities like Drama, Quiz, Azaan competition, Namaz Workshop, Tongue twisters etc. This helped students learn not only Islamic knowledge but it also helped them understand contemporary things. The camp also motivated children to live righteous life so that they succeed both in the life of this world and in the hereafter.

The camp concluded with the Prize distribution ceremony. Students were awarded Best Active Student, Best Punctual Student, Best Notes, Best Drama Actor, Best Drama (group), Quiz, toppers in final exam & Student of BIC. Musab Shaikh received the student of BIC award where as Usman Sheikh received 1st rank in final exam with 90 % marks. Musab Shaikh said, “These kinds of camps should be organized at least twice a year i.e., so that vacations are utilized properly “. During camp, students were urged to join IFC (Islamic Friend Circle). The parents thanked SIO for organizing such a wonderful camp.
