SIO Jabalpur organized Press conference successfully

Students Islamic Organisation of India, Jabalpur unit organized a Press conference, “Aligarh Muslim University OFF-Campus in Madhya Pradesh” on 19th June in Jabalpur.

Br. Sharique Ansar, National secretary of SIO addressed the conference. Zonal president, Br. Daood Hasan Falahi and Br. Shahbaz Rehmani, SIO Jabalpur’s Secretary were also present on this occasion.

Br. Sharique Ansar said that education of minorities has been neglected in the country and the inequality in education can be put to an end only when equal opportunities of education are available for all sections of society.
He said, “Aligarh Muslim University has been fulfilling the requirement of higher education for minorities especially for Muslims. As per the recommendation of Sachchar Committee, five off-campus branches of AMU were to be established. As a result, two branches were started in Kerala and West Bengal. Also struggle in Bihar as well as Maharashtra is in progress.. But unfortunately in Bhopal, the capital of M.P., no initiative has been taken in this regard. ”
He urged the government that land for the A.M.U. off-campus be allotted as soon as possible. He also warned that if strong initiatives are not taken in this regard, SIO would be compelled to launch a nationwide campaign.
