A delegation led by Imran Hossein, National Secretary of SIO, visited the family of Mohammad Ishaq, who was beaten to death by a Hindutva mob in the Sundar Nagari area of Delhi.
“Exemplary punishment should be given to the culprits, and swift justice should be delivered to the deceased’s family. The family has raised safety concerns, and it is imperative for the authorities to ensure their safety. This mob lynching, which occurred in the capital of the country, clearly indicates the extent of hatred against Muslims and how this hate-mongering has reached a level of normalcy. It is high time for the government to consider criminalizing Islamophobia to prevent such crimes against Muslims,” demanded the delegation.
