A scholarship distribution programme was organised by SIO UP central in partnership with Human Welfare Foundation, New Delhi in Lucknow on 4^th  May 2014. Mr. Mohammed Arif Nadvi (Project Director HWF) was the chief guest of the programme. The program started with discourse of Quran by Jb. Shahid Ali Sb. (Local President JIH Lucknow) followed by inaugural words by Br. Najmussaquib Khan, Zonal President of SIO UP Central who gave a brief introduction of SIO and its programmes.

Mohammed Arif Nadvi in his presidential address describe in detail the current educational position in India and importance of education. He said Islam addresses the education from day one and added ,one should help other that every person should carry their education and none can leave education due to financially problem.
