Mumbai’s got talent : Students Fest ’12 concludes with fervor

Bandra (23.09.2012): Audition round of Grand Students Fest ’12 just concluded today at the Anjuman-e-Islam Auditorium  Bandra. This is the first stage of All India Fest being organised by Students Islamic organization of India through the length and breadth of India. More than 40 students participated in the on stage audition event. While about 60 colleges of Mumbai are participating in the event in totality including off stage.

Festival is organized with the motive of exploring edutainment and coloring creativity. SIO is providing platform for young talent to showcase their interest and talents to the world, further nurture and enable them to play a positive role in the society. Students Festival is being organized at three level, city, state and National level. The final event will take place at Kolkata on 18-19, October 2012.

As a part of nationwide competition SIO Mumbai division organized the city event on 23rd of September 2012.at Anjuman -e- Islam Bandra Girls College Bandra (W), where students from various colleges of Mumbai participated. Student’s festival is divided in two categories on stage events and off stage events.

Various participants from different colleges presented the outstanding performances. Poem recitation, extempore elocution, Mimicry, Mono act, Street play, Drama and mime were the events kept by committee.

Winners were awarded with Memento and certificates, while all the participants received participation certificate. Winners are promoted to state level event which will be held at Aurangabad on 1st of oct 2012.

Shaikh Anwar (Secretary SIO Maharashtra South Zone), Mirza Kamran Baig (President SIO Mumbai)and Ali Imran (State coordinator students festival) were present during the occasion.
