Shamsul Haque Barbhuiya, President Minority council, Hailakandi and Nurul Islam Mazarbhuiya, asst. secretary, Dawah, JIH, South Assam Zone also represented their respective organizations and spoke with reference to the historical injustices caused to the Palestinians by the establishment of Israel in the land of these poor people while condemning Israel for this recurring terroristic and genocidal activities in Gaza. On behalf of SIO and PSYF vehement condemning words were spoken by Badruzzaman Barbhuiya and Abdul Malik Mira respectively. Rafat Mamun Mazumdar, Zonal Organizer, SIO delivered inaugural speech briefly narrating the story and its background of the running Israeli aggression and genocide. From among the intellectuals present, Prof. Haji Moinuddin Barbhuiya narrated the misdeeds of the Jews which cover a large part of the Quran itself and how was an imperial design the state of Israel was established in Palestine in 1948. Prof. Mazumdar, the President of the meeting in his presidential address further elaborated the history of the Israelites and also how being empowered by the imperialists in general and USA in particular and using them with the help their evil genius the illegal rulers of Israel are behaving with Palestinians in all the inhuman ways and many other related matters.

After threadbare discussion a joint forum was formed in the name of FRIENDS OF HUMANITY on behalf of which a memorandum was submitted to the President of India on 22 January 2009 with copies to the Prime Minister and Foreign minister through the Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi (Xerox copy of the memorandum enclosed).

It should be mentioned here that in the said meeting, ABVP, NSUI, AASU etc., many nonmuslim and secular students and youth organizations were invited but none of them turned up.
