Student rally and dharna on AMU Issue report

Government of Bihar has shown great negligency on proposed AMU centre
as a central university in Bihar. This AMU centre was proposed at
katihar earlier which was shifted to kishanganj later on by state
government for its political benefit. Since then, no serious response
from state government has came regarding establishment of this AMU
centre till yet. As, it is duty of state government to provide land
free of cost, the Nitish government turned his own decision and
decided to give land on lease for 30  years but not free of cost.

In this regard, Students Islamic Organization

started at 10:30 am morning from science college, patna to kargil
chowk, Gandhi maidan followed by Dharna programme. Different slogans
like were raised regarding establishment of AMU centre. A large no of
students joined hand with sio on this issue. A huge gathering in rally
followed by dharna demanded the immediate implimation of AMU centre in
bihar.

views before the audience. Mr. Mozaherul Islam, zonal president of sio
bihar told that AMU centres in kerala and west Bengal has been
established and it has been started but no proper response from
government of bihar has came till yet.             “It is a great
misfortune for the whole student community as well as the education
scenario”, he added. Mr. Irshad hussain, convener of this programme
demanded the state government to establish this AMU centre
immediately. He also questioned the state gov regarding change in its
decision to provide land free of cost to AMU centre. Mr. Rupesh from
koshish, analysed the government motto regarding educational
development and alleged piracy in this field from government side. Mr.
Firoz Gandhi, from Siksha sudhar aandolan questioned the so called
“development” by state government. He strongly demanded the land
acquisition for AMU from state government. Mr. Shibli Arsalan, alleged
the state government by negative and conservative politics which has
resulted this situation of a proposed Central university in Bihar. He
further added, that government has exploided the emotions of muslim
community which is condemnable .SIO Bihar has started a statewide
campaign on this issue and three places namely Katihar, Araria and
