Campus Leaders Workshop by SIO Mumbai

SIO Mumbai Division organized a day long “Campus Leaders Workshop” for the students of Mumbai region. It was a unique experience with a strong emphasis on practical and group activities. The Programme started with recitation of Quran followed by Campus Secretary of SIO Maharashtra South, Mohammed Salman’s inaugural words.

The Key note speech “Campus activism: Now or Never” was delivered by the National Campus Secretary Khaleeq Ahmed. He said that terms such as change, revolution and activism make sense when we take some issue to its logical conclusion. “Only then, the society starts accepting our point of view”, he said. It was followed by an open session. The attendees discussed on various topics such as the purpose of campus activism, SWOT analysis and things to do.

In the afternoon session, students were assigned group activities such as hospital visit, brainstorming on issues, meeting with manual labour, skits, short videos, poster making etc. This event brought out the best from the students and they were awarded for their participation. The programme received positive feedback and ended on an ambitious note.

SIO Maharashtra South Zone Acting president Br. Siddique Khan’s address “Arise, Awake and Stop Not” marked the conclusion.
