SIO Patel Nagar unit (Delhi) organised an anti-alcohol rally on 26th January in Ranjeet Nagar colony. Moving across the streets it covered the whole area.

There were about 30 banners with different slogans in Hindi and English. Children were actively participating besides youths. As a preparation of the rally banners were hung and posters were pasted all over the area 2 days earlier from the rally.

Enthusiastic participants raised slogans with vigor throughout the rally and distributed leaflets as it is an issue with which the whole area could relate itself. Many people joined the rally as it progressed as a gesture of solidarity and support for the cause.

Dr. T.U Siddiqui and Waheed uz Zama delivered speeches on the occasion. It was decided that given the grave situation related to alcohol consumption in the area such rallies would be organized every three month in the locality. These efforts were appreciated by the S.H.O of Ranjeet Nagar police station.
