Uttar Pradesh Central chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India, Rihaai Manch and several other organisations organized a protest against the custodial death of Khalid Mujahid.

Addressing the protestors, Br. Najmussaquib Khan, President of SIO UP Central said, “The murder of Khalid Mujahid is a shame for a democratic nation. Furthermore, the illegal arrests of Muslim youth and their murder in police custody are not tolerable. Khalid Mujahid was already proved innocent in R.D. Nimesh’s report, however, this was not revealed by the police”.

The following demands were made during the protest:

1. Suspension of Police officers under whose custody Khalid Mujahid was murdered.
2. Immediate arrest of Police officers against whom FIR has been filed.
3. Release the R.D. Nimesh report which proves Khalid Mujahid’s innocence.
4. CBI investigation of the entire case.
5. Adequate compensation to the family of the deceased.
7. Government’s declaration of safety of Muslim youth who are imprisoned.
8. Release of all innocent youth who are falsely imprisoned in the jail.
