SIO demands the High Level Judicial Enquiry into the Vyapam Scandal

In the wake of alleged reports of Vyapam Scam Students Islamic Organisation of India(SIO) demands the High level judicial enquiry into the scandal. Students Islamic Organisation of India demanded the resignation of Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan as the Supreme Court handed over the case to CBI.

Mr. Thouseef Madikeri (National Secretary, SIO of India) said that since the Vyapam scam surfaced, so far over 100 medical students have been arrested by the STF, nearly 140 FIRs have been registered & 3,800 accused named. 46 people connected to the scam have lost their lives; SIT probing the scam had submitted to the High Court that 23 deceased in the scam had died unnatural deaths so far. First FIR was lodged in the year 2000(Chhatarpur District) followed by many cases in the year 2004 in Khandwa district. In the year 2009 STF was formed to investigate the matter, in 2011 over a hundred people were arrested. In the year 2013 committee filed a 23000 page charge sheet & filed FIRs against 153 people which led to the arrest of around 127 people in the same year.  He demanded that the time bound enquiry into the scam by the sitting Supreme Court judge & CM to resign so as to ensure that it is fair probe.

SIO also demanded the separate enquiry into the deaths related to Vyapam as well as the scam.
