Students Islamic Organization of India is actively holding relief camps at Haridwar and Rishikesh for victims of devastating flood in Uttarakhand. Local administration and Indian Railways have cooperated with the SIO team to set up relief camp at the railway station

Relief camps consisting of a team of medical specialists and a mobile hospital equipped with all necessary machinery and facilities for treatment are treating hundreds of survivors.

Sharique Ansar, National Secretary of SIO, Nazeerul Hassan Falahi, Zonal President of UP (West), Kafeel Ahmed, Zonal Secretary, Mohd Muslim and Mohd Shuaib visited flood affected areas in Haridwar to supervise the relief work and met commoners in the.

Shariq Ansar said that SIO appeals the student community to come forward and help those who are in serious crisis under natural disaster, awaiting help and rehabilitation.
