Reception For JIH Council Of Representatives at SIO Headquarter Delhi

Over a hundred delegates of a House of representative body of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind MAJLIS-E-NUMAIDAGAN (Council of Representatives) were extended a very warm reception at the Students Islamic Organization of India’s national headquarters at 5th April, the reception falling on the occasion of the former’s first twice-a-year meet for the current term. The representatives from across India and significant number of elected women representatives from all states marked their presence.

In a peaceful evening marked by sweeping fresh air, the program held at the proposed Student Centre site began by the melodious recitation of the Noble Quran in the voice of Brother Muneer T. General Secretary SIO of India Sarwar Hasan then introduced before the guests the national secretaries and office bearers of SIO at the headquarters. He also warmly welcomed each of the invitees and sought prayers on their part for perseverance, dedication and stealth in the commitment of the Student Organization like SIO in the end.

The National President Brother Ashfaq Ahmad in his brief address stressed the major student issues felt by the organization and faced by students at length and breadth of the country. He also provided insights into initiatives taken by SIO to shield a majority of such setbacks. “At the same time SIO is also trying to influence the country’s National Educational Agenda”, he said.

The program’s last address by Maulana Sayyid Jalaluddin Umari, Ameer-e-Jamaat (Chief  Patron SIO of India)stated his concern towards the moral characters of youth and the need to present the examples of spotless leadership by young people alongside cautioned that the needs of the Islamic Movement are many and the talents in various fields need to be nurtured. He further sought that the cadre of SIO prepares himself for a long-term struggle to groom intellectually. Mohd. Zafar, Vice president JIH, Nusrat Ali, Secretary General, JIH and National Secretaries of SIO, Sharique Ansar, Arshad Hussain, Khaleeq Khan, Limseer Ali and Masiuzzaman Ansari were present on the dais.
