National President of SIO, Ashfaq Ahmed Shareef was on an organizational tour of Jharkhand from 24th  to 26th September 2013. Upon his visit, Jharkhand Zone organised various programs in Jamshedpur & Ranchi.
                                     
In Jamshedpur Br. Ashfaque Ahmad addressed a Press Conference, in which he expressed his views on educational issues of India particularly in North Indian states & activities of SIO in that field. Zonal President and Zonal Secretary were also present on this occasion. National President also addressed VIPs, “Present Situation of Islamic World & Muslim Ummah”.
Later, he addressed a Students Convention, “Study. Struggle. Service. Students for Social change” organized by Jharkand chapter of SIO. Zonal President Br.Irshad Bari gave introduction of SIO and its activities. National President, in his talk, elaborated on the role of students in campus and the society. He also discussed issues such as poverty, corruption and violence. On 25th Sept, he left for Ranchi in the morning.
 
On arriving Ranchi, SIO Ranchi welcomed National President with a huge bike rally. At 11 am, he addressed a Press Conference was organized at Hotel Sartaj. He also interacted with members of SIO Ranchi. Later, a get-together was held with the VIPs of Ranchi. National President discussed various national issues and activities of SIO.
On 26thSept, SIO Jharkhand organized a grand Students Convention at 10 am in SDC Hall, Ranchi, in which more than 250 students were present. Zonal president gave the introduction of SIO. Jb.Asad Bari, Zonal Representative of JIH and Br.Tasawwur Alam, Ex-CAC Member also addressed the convention. Convention was presided over by the National President. He said that the root cause of all the social issues is somewhere related to education. He said that the motive of today’s educational system is mere money-making whereas the real motive of education should be human-making. Post lunch, he interacted with cadre from different units of Jharkhand.
