Mangalore Region conducted Regional Students Conference

Students Islamic Organisation of India – Mangalore Region conducted a Regional Students Conference on 4th April 2012 at Kuvempu Randamandir. The conference began with a grand welcome and concluded with the members meet. Chief Guest, Br. Mohammed Azharuddin – National President – SIO of India addressed the gathering. Various cultural activities and competitions were also conducted during the conference.
   
Br. Mohammed Azharuddin, spoke on various issues relating to students and said that the students play a very vital role in the reconstruction of the society. He also highlighted on the negative impacts which globalisation has to offer. He concluded his speech by stating that the need of the hour is to stand up and raise issues with respect to the injustice, immorality, poverty, pornography, homosexuality and the widening of gap between rich and poor in our country.

Mr. Sarja Shankar Haralimat – Writer and Social Activist also spoke on the occasion highlighting the injustices on the Muslim community and praise the organization for its overall work and wished the organization success in its future endeavours. Br. Ashfaq Ahmed Shareef – Zonal President – SIO of India Karnataka, was also present.
