An education and career guidance exhibition was organized by SIO Badaun on 2nd June 2013 at Nagar Palika Samudayik Bhavan, Badaun district to guide students in choosing career. Besides a huge number of students, many colleges and institutes also participated.

City Magistrate of Badaun, Ms. Nidhi Srivastav was the Chief Guest who also inaugurated the exhibition. IAS trainee Mr. Tarun Kumar Rathore was the Guest of Honour. Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, member of Indian Medicine Board and Br. Sharique Ansar, National secretary of SIO were also present.

An Educational Convention cum Symposium was organised during the exhibition. The program started with recitation of Quran. In his inauguration speech, Zonal President of SIO UP West Br. Nazeerul Hasan said that education must be accompanied by morals and ethics. He also suggested that moral education should be given at an early age.

Mr. Tarun Kumar shared his experience of passing IAS. Dr. Ittehad Alam, District Organiser of JIH Badaun spoke on the topic, ‘Role of students in National Development’.

Sharique Ansar, in his presidential address, said that there is a strong need of discussion on the educational policy of the country such as privatization of education, teacher’s education and certification, teaching methods, curriculum content, school infrastructure and values in educational system. After this, District topers of CBSE and ICSE board were awarded. Mohammed Muslim, Exhibition organizer proposed vote of thanks.
