SIO Mettupalayam unit successfully organised Career Guidance Expo today (21 April, 2013) Carewell School. More than 100 students got benefited from this guidance program. The program was conducted by SIO Education & Career Guidance Cell in partnership with All India Graduates Association (AIGA).

The program started with T.Satish Kumar, Mettupalayam Chairman inaugurating the career guidance expo. Er. M. Noorul Hasan, spoke on the current status of higher education in Tamil Nadu. He advised students to safeguard themselves from becoming victim of “pay high fees and get good placement” mentality.

Mr.Saleem, President of All India Ideal Teachers Association encouraged the students to follow their dreams in pursuing higher education and gave clear idea about all available courses.

The event had separate stalls with experts from fields like medical, engineering, law, art & science, civil services and humanities. Psychologist M. Subair gave counseling to students and also conducted aptitude test who were confused about selecting course. Many students came along with their parents. They got guidance from these experts on various courses and colleges in Tamil Nadu.

The event concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Suhail.M, Junior SIO coordinator.
