Justice Loya’s death; SC verdict gruesome: Nahas Mala

by | Apr 20, 2018

Nahas Mala (President, SIO of India) expressed his strong discontent over the Supreme Court judgment dismissing petitions asking for an independent investigation into the suspicious death of Justice Loya. The top judges of India had a couple of months back raised concerns over the mishandling of the case of death of Justice Loya, which had multiple dimensions as done suspiciously by the CJI. He also added that these concerns assume significance after the SC judgment. The court judgment is solely based on the statements of the judges who had accompanied Justice Loya to Nagpur. “There are many stones which still remain untouched that makes the judgment disappointing and gruesome,” he said.

The fact that Justice Loya was hearing the Sohrabudeen fake encounter case in which the BJP head Amit Shah was the main accused and later he was acquitted after Justice Loya’s death created suspicions in the common public. “This along with the investigations by credible media houses revealing conspiracy behind Justice Loya’s death could have been taken into consideration along with the concerns of the kith and kin of Justice Loya.” he concluded.
