SIO Demands for a better education system and a Full-fledged university at Murshidabad

Once Murshidabad was the capital of undivided Bengal (Bangla, Bihar & Odisha) and it had its own hoary glorious history. But now the socio-political condition of this district is too pathetic to bear, comparing with the developing India. A large numbers of its inhabitants belong to below poverty line (BPL). In the field of education it is more disgraceful. There are no available facilities for higher studies. Students are trying to improve their lot through education but in vein as there is no a single university in this district. It is at the bottom level in educational higher key of West Bengal. It is unjust and injustice in education.

In these circumstances, as a responsible and sincere student’s organization, Students Islamic Organisation of India- Murshidabad district raised the voice to establish a full-fledged university. Along with this they also demanded for the betterment of primary education. They launched a campaign from 20thApril – 4th May 2015 throughout the district. On 20th April, a press meets also organised by district at Berhampore Press Club for announcing the campaign. A mass deputation to District Magistrate along with massive student rally for demanding a university held on 4th May 2015. SIO West Bengal State President Mafikul Islam, State Secretary Mohabbat Sk, CAC Member Mosiur Rahaman, Former State President Ashraful Islam, Former State Secretary Abdullahil Kafi and many others were present in the student rally.
