A massive Students’ Rally was organized by the Students Islamic Organization of India Assam north zone at Howly. The rally raised issues such as quality education, ragging-free campuses, all-round development of students, abolition of commercialisation in education, scholarship for Minority students, etc.
While addressing the rally, National Expansion Secretary for Assam, Br. Mafikul Islam said that the North-East India is not much developed in Educational sector and hence the organization has adopted a special policy for Educational Development in this region.
Zonal President, Israfil Hussain said, “We want to bring Educational awareness by organizing such kind of rallies”. He added, “we demand the Educational authorities of the state to check and improve the Educational sector of Assam”.
The state campus secretary Ali Akbar Sikder, while addressing the media said that the organization has been trying to establish Quality and Value-based Education since its inception in 1982.
