SIO is happy to announce the ‘Prof. Siddique Hassan Memorial Scholarship’ for postgraduate students of Social Work. The Scholarship is constituted across India in the memory of the late Prof. KA Siddique Hassan (1945-2021), a leader of Jamat-e-Islami Hind and a pioneering social worker who contributed immensely to the empowerment of marginalized communities in India. As a visionary leader, he introduced many innovative initiatives to empower the downtrodden people from North and Eastern India, which still continue to light the lives of numerous people.

This scholarship is to commemorate the contributions of late Siddique Hassan Sahab and inspire students to continue to bear the torch of service to mankind that he illuminated. This scholarship will be distributed among deserving students from the marginalized communities.

The applicant should be an Indian citizen and a regular student of Master of Social Work (MSW) in any institute in the country. This scholarship will be provided only once during the course period.
