Regional Students Conference -Bangalore, a great success

Students Islamic Organisation of India – Bangalore Region conducted a Regional Students Conference on 7th April 2012 at Kala Bhavan. The conference began with a grand welcome and concluded with the members meet. Chief Guest, Br. Mohammed Azharuddin – National President – SIO of India addressed the gathering. A theater play was performed by Sahanti Samskruti on education related issues was performed , a stand up comedy was performed by Mr. Imtiaz Baig (Theater Artist) and few short videos were screened on the occasion.
                                                                  
Br. Mohammed Azharuddin, spoke on various issues relating to students and said that the students play a very vital role in the reconstruction of the society. He also highlighted on the negative impacts which globalisation has to offer. He concluded his speech by stating that the need of the hour is to stand up and raise issues with respect to the injustice, immorality, poverty, pornography, homosexuality and the widening of gap between rich and poor in our country.

Janab Abdullah Javed – Zonal Patron – SIO of India – Karnataka Zone, spoke on the theme, ‘Student! – The Hope – The Leader – The Change’. Ms. Anita Ratnam – Executive Director – Samvada, spoke on ‘Student Activism’ and urged to students to work towards a positive and constructive change. Janab Dr. Saad Belgami – Secretary – JIH – Karnataka Zone, Janab Wahidullin Khan – Shoora member – JIH – Karnataka Zone, Br. Ashfaq Ahmed Shareef – Zonal President – SIO of India Karnataka and Br. Mohammed Bilal – CAC Member – SIO of India, were also present.
