Bombay HC issues notices to State Govt, Education board against PIL by SIO

On a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by the Maharashtra South chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India, regarding unavailability of Urdu textbooks for students across the state, the Bombay High Court has issued notices to the Maharashtra Govt and Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Boards (MSBSHSE) to submit their reply within four weeks in this regard. SIO had sought the Court’s intervention into this matter as the careers of thousands of Urdu medium students’ are at stake. Youth for Morality Campaign by SIO Mumbai

SIO Saboo Siddik Unit a campus unit of SIO Mumbai Division organized an event named Youth4Morality at the college’s Annual Gathering on 17th of Feb 2014 to promote moral values among the students. Youth 4 Morality Campaign observed by SIO Pune

Pune chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) observed a 15-day campaign, ‘Youth 4 Morality’ from 1st till 15th Feb 2014. Students set out at stress busting session, an SIO Mumbai initiative

Cadre of Students Islamic Organisation of India conducted lectures on ‘How to face exams’ across various schools of Mumbai covering more than 1000 students. Addressing the students, Divisional President Kamran Mirza said that SIO has been active in organising educational guidance lectures, seminars on career building and motivational lectures for the past 30 years. He further said that one must not aim at merely acquiring knowledge but also aim at serving society through knowledge. Topics such as presentation via answer sheet, stress management, time management, revision techniques, memorization techniques were covered during the lectures.

Workshop on how to prepare for Civil Services by SIO Pune

Students Islamic Organisation of India, Pune chapter organized an orientation lecture for graduation and post-graduation students on 29th Jan 2013 at Poona College of Arts, Science & Commerce in Pune in order to spread awareness about UPSC, MPSC & other Civil Service exams. IFC Picnic organized by SIO Pune

SIO Pune organized a whole day Picnic for the members of IFC i.e Islamic Friends Circle on 21st Dec 2013 at Mahableshwar. Around 30 members and 10 Volunteers attended the picnic. Br. Ata Hashmi, Member of ZAC, SIO Maharashtra South, Br. Salman khan, IFC Secretary, SIO Maharashtra South were also present. The whole day program was organized under the guidance of Br. With SSC and HSC exams round the corner, SIO Pune, Maharashtra South Zone organized an orientation lecture on various entrance exams for the students of Poona college of Arts, Science and Commerce and Azam Campus, Pune. The Seminar was addressed by Professor Najmuddin, Career counselor and Ex-Secretary of JIH Education Department, Maharashtra. SIO Borivali-Padgha Unit (Dist. Thane) organized a historic conference on the theme, “Apna maqam paida kar” on 17thNovember at Padgha’s KMES High School Ground. SIO Schools of Maharashtra South Zone concluded with Enthusiasm

SIO Maharashtra South Zone conducted SIO Schools for applicant members of the zone at three places – Parbhani, Aurangabad and Pune in the month of November. About 200 students, in total attended the school. The program started with Quranic discourse followed by inaugural words and an introductory session.
