SIO’s historic win in student union poll :Kolkata


  Kolkata: In a historic victory for any Muslim students group in the students’ union election at Maulana Azad College of Kolkata, Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) has won a seat in the 39-member student body of the 85-year-old college. No Muslim group had ever won any seat in students’ union poll at the college. Kolkata, Dec 19: The West Bengal Chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) has expressed serious concern over the murder of a student and injury of several others at Prabhu Jagatbandhu College of Andul in the district of Howrah. Panel Discussion on Darvinism

SIO West Bengal Zone organised a discussion cum exhibition on Darwinism. These are the flash of the program. More than 200 hundred students attended as audience on discussion. The exhibition inaugurated by Zonal President Sarwar Hasan. Social Service Day


SIO West Bengal Zone observed 19 October 2010 as Social Service Day. The objective of the celebration was to inspire students community to social service. The day was observed through Plantation, Drinking Water, Visiting Deceased people, health chek-up camp,  Sanitation in schools, Madaris and Mosques of local area. KOLKATA   :   Today Students Islamic Organisation of India [SIO], West Bengal organised a demonstration ,at metro channel from 4 to 5 pm, demanding an immediate CBI probe over derailment of Howrah-Kurla Jnaneshwari Express . One of the worst train sabotage in recent history , it claimed lives of 148 passengers and left another two hundred severely injured.
