One week Quran campaign organized by SIO MP West

A one week Quran campaign was organized form 17th to 23rd march 2014 to ignite the importance of Quran in the hearts of Muslim students. The motive of organizing this campaign is to encourage students to read, learn and understand Quran. The daily program comprises of tajweed session followed by Quran discussion on different topics. The campaign was observed in Bhopal, Ujjain and harda units. The daily meetings were organized in hostels and student concentrated area. Students manifesto released in press conference by SIO Gujarat

On 23rd March, 2014 press conference organized in Juhapura, Ahmedabad. In this press conference students manifesto for general election 2014 released. Br. Vaseef Hussain (Zonal President, SIO Guj.) briefed the conference. “SIO by taking consultation with various educationists and experts prepared the manifesto with a view to raise demands before the political parties so as to fulfill it by them as and when they form government.” He explained. Mumbai: The Students Islamic Organization of India (SIO) South Maharashtra, students’ wing of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, released Students menifesto for political parties ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The SIO’s demand charter includes effective implementation of RTE, review of National Curriculum Framework 2005 with a fundamental commitment to secular spirit, checking commercialization of education, minority status for Aligarh Muslim University, establishment of AMU sub center in Maharashtra and monitoring technical education. Campus chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India, Pune organized massive campus lectures on the theme, “Celebrate Tension, Enjoy Exams” for the students of 8th, 9th & 10th standards  in which around 1000 students participated.
