A day long Dawah orientation camp was organized by SIO Andhra Pradesh at Conference hall in Azizia Masjid, Hyderabad. Program started with the recitation of Quran followed by inaugural words of Br.Hashmathullah Khan, State Secretary of SIO AP. He explained the importance of calling people towards Straight path i.e., towards Almighty Allah. SIO Hyderabad demands probe into alleged PG Med entrance scam

Hyderabad chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India has raised serious concerns over the alleged scam in Post graduate Medical entrance test conducted by NTR University of Health Sciences. These allegations were raised by Junior Doctors Association. The association alleged that at least 30 rank holders in the first 200 ranks were involved in malpractice. It’s also alleged that those who have secured top ranks were also involved in scams related to EAMCET as well as Post Graduate Institute of Medical Research, Chandigarh. Kolkata, Mar 11: A delegation headed by State President of SIO West Bengal, Mosiur Rahaman met Minister of State for Minority Affairs to discuss about the problems faced by students belonging to OBC category. Mr. Rahaman was accompanied by state secretaries, Abdullahil Kafi, Helaluddin Ahamed, Kamruj Jamal and Sujauddin Ahamed. SIO Kannur Unit conducted various programs in campuses on the eve of  International  Women’s Day. Various programs conducted were photo contest, poster display etc.A program was also conducted at Brennen College by SIO Thalessery Unit. Program was inaugrated bynDr. K Nany Principal of Brennan College. While addressing the students she stressed the need of empowermejt of women and gave examples of few women leaders like Irom Sharmila, Jaseera etc. Later prizes were distributed. Socio Religious Workshop by SIO Tamil Nadu

SIO Tamil Nadu zone conducted a 2-day workshop on ‘Socio-religious Environment in Tamil Nadu’. Selected members from the state were invited to attend the the workshop.               Some of the topics discussed were ‘Dravidian Movement and its present form’, ‘The Problems of Backward Castes in Tamil Nadu’, ‘The life-style of Fishermen and Tribal Communities’ etc.           Members also submitted papers on ‘Neo-spiritual Movements and their Methods’ and various other topics. Later ‘Yadhum’ a documentary-film on ‘Muslims and Tamil culture’ was also screened . Participants were also given specific topics for research as assignments.
