Iftar Get together by SIO Nagpur

Nagpur chapter of Students Islamic Organization of India hosted an Iftar get together at Jamiatul Mominat, Mominpura on 6th of July for the Students and youth. The program commenced with the discourse of Holy Qur’an delivered by Sir Aziz-ur-Rahman Khan President, JIH. Dr. Anwar Siddique, President, SIO Maharashtra North Zone, addressed the gathering on the Role of youth towards shouldering social responsibility. Around 80 students were present.

SIO Nagpur felicitates Vidarbha CBSE Topper

Nagpur chapter of the Students Islamic Organization of India felicitated Vidarbha CBSE topper Muzammil Khalil. Muzammil scored 99%, standing top in Vidharbha and is said to be among top 10 in All India Rankings. SIO members Faizanur Rehman Khan, Tauseef Ahmad, and Ahmad Khuzaima congratulated him for his success and presented to him a Memento. He was also given a brief introduction of the organization. In a press note, SIO appreciated him and his parents for their sincerity in achieving this position.

“Tamsili Mushaira” at VIC Khamgaon

Khamgaon: Khamgaon unit with their creative approach came with a tool to nurture the talent of young poets by organizing “Tamsili Mushaira” with theme of “Mustaqbil ke sitaare” organized on 29 April at Zikra School, Khamgaon. Young poets were invited for the event to motivate the participants. Mushaira begun with recitation of holy Quran by Aasim Zaki. It is convened by Shoaib Asim. A delegation of Students Islamic Organisation of India, Maharashtra North zone met Member of Parliament of Nagpur, Vilas Mettemwar and discussed the Students Manifesto. He is the Congress Lok sabha candidate from Nagpur constituency. The delegation was lead by Br. Umar Khan, Zonal secretary of SIO MNZ. The delegation raised various issues of students and campuses such as heavy tuition fees, immorality and fascism in campuses, quality of education and Right to Education.

  In the month that marks the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (S), SIO Pusad unit installed Dawah stalls at two public places, i.e., P.N. College and S.T. Bus Stand in order to spread the message of Prophet. Shoeb Ahmad Khan, Local President of SIO, Sibghatullah Khan, Sayyad Aaquib Rizvi and Mudassir lead the activity. They discussed the message of Islam with the visitors and also gave a brief introduction to Prophet’s life. “Prophet was a man who taught the world the roadmap to eternal success”, said Shoeb Ahmed Khan. Islamic literature was distributed among the visitors.

The camp was held from 1 to 5 Nov 2013 at Shri Datt Sabhagruh,Godhni Road, Jhingabai Takli-NAGPUR (M.S). On 19 October 1982, Students Islamic Organization of India was founded to serve the student community and to address issues concerning students in campus and society. Thus, 19th October is celebrated as students’ day across India. In order to make the future of this country intellectually and ethically strong, SIO Maharashtra North Zone took an initiative to create such an environment where we can fulfill the need of students and the nation.
