All Gujarat Members Meet Concluded in Ahmedabad


The 3-day Members meet of the Gujarat chapters of SIO concluded at Ahmedabad. The meet is held every two years in order to elect the decision making body of the state, called Zonal Advisory Council for the upcoming term. Janab Ilyas Qureshi, Representative of Zonal Patron of SIO Gujarat & Ansar Abubakar, Natioanl Secretary of SIO presided over the meet and conducted ZAC elections. SIO Gujarat’s Summer Islamic Camp for children


  Summer Islamic Camp (SIC) were organized by SIO Gujarat from13th May to 15th  May, 2014 at SIO Zonal Office (Ahmedabad) for students of Islamic Friend Circle (IFC). Students from various districts of the state participated in the camp. They enjoyed picnic, outing and also learnt fundamental lessons of Islam in the camp. Yuva saathi round table organized on ‘Students manifesto for general election-2014’


Yuva Saathi Gujarati Monthly, an organ of SIO, Gujarat zone organized a round table discussion of students manifesto for general election 2014. Students manifesto released in press conference by SIO Gujarat


On 23rd March, 2014 press conference organized in Juhapura, Ahmedabad. In this press conference students manifesto for general election 2014 released. Br. Vaseef Hussain (Zonal President, SIO Guj.) briefed the conference. “SIO by taking consultation with various educationists and experts prepared the manifesto with a view to raise demands before the political parties so as to fulfill it by them as and when they form government.” He explained. Local Leaders camp 2014 organized by SIO Gujarat


Local Organisers and Local Presidents (LO-LPs) Camp was organized on 22nd and 23rd February, 2014 at Suffa Centre, Karishma Complex, Juhapura, Ahmedabad. The purpose of the camp was to explain policy and program of SIO for the term 2014. The program started with ‘Lesson from Quran’ by Dr. Shakil Ahmed (Zonal Patron of SIO Gujarat). SIO Gujarat’s Monthly organ Yuvasaathi website launched


Gujarat chapter of the Students Islamic Organization of India launched website of it’s monthly organ Yuvasaathi (www.yuvasaathi.com) at Suffa Center in Juhapura. Yuva Saathi, a mainstream Gujarati magazine started in January 2010 and is spreading the message of Islamic ideology since then. It has been working to make the society ethically and morally educated since last four years. The website had already existed, but its features were too limited and were unable to satisfy the needs of visitors. Gujarat chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India organised demonstrations in Ahmedabad and Baroda against the commercial nature of Valentines’ Day. As part of this, around 12,000 leaflets were distributed in Ahmedabad, Baroda, Surat and Anand in order to create awareness among the masses, particularly the student community. Islam for All - Dawah Campaign by SIO Gujarat

Gujarat chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) organized a massive Dawah Campaign across the state under the theme ‘Islam for All’ from 12th to 19th January 2014. The main objective of this campaign was to present the peaceful message of Islam to non-Muslim students, thereby clearing their misconceptions about Islam. The campaign started with programs on ‘Importance of Dawah’ at various units/circles to encourage the spirit of Dawah among Muslims students. SIO Rakhial unit in collaboration with JIH Ahmedabad organised a seminar at Shree Swarashtra Sthanak Jain Sangh (Jainwadi), near New Metropolitan court in Ahmedabad on the topic ‘Muhammad (PBUH) in Indian Context’.
