Remember ‘Yaum e Badar’ with Iftar Get together at Chitarpur

On 14th June, 2107 SIO Chitarpur Circle organised an Iftar get together program on Yaum e Badar. The program was presided by Janab Tauqeer Ahsan Khan sb, and conducted by Br. Maaz bin Asad. Program was strated with the recitation of Quran by Br. Faiz ul Haque. Maulana Ahmad Ullah Falahi sb delevered a short lecture on the topic ‘Yaum e Badar and its importance’. Br. Taiyab Anis( Circle In-charge, SIO Chitarpur) was the convener of this total program. About 40 students attended the program.

Round Table Meet on Safety and Security of Muslim Students

SIO Hyderabad had organised a round table meet on the topic of Safety and Security of Muslim Students in Campuses. The event was organised to raise and discuss the missing case of Najeeb Ahmed of JNU and the discrimination of Muslim students in Indian campuses. The representatives of SIO(Students Islamic Organisation of India), BSF(Bahujan students Federation) & DAMSA (Dalit Adivasi minority students association) had gathered in a round table discussion at BC Bhavan, Himayat Nagar on 26th March 2017. Workshop was attended by the members working in the areas of Public Relations and Media engagement activities at SIO. Relief Work By SIO Jamshedpur

On 14 May, a joint team of Jamaat e Islami Hind Jamshedpur Kabir Nagar Unit & Students Islamic Organisation of India, Jamshedpur(Jharkhand) organised relief Camp at Hashmi Mohalla and Himmat Nagar locality for the victims of Communal tensions going on in Pokharia village. Relief items comprising 25 kg rice, 5 kg dal, 5 kg Potato, 2 kg onion, 2 kg sugar, 1kg edible oil, 1 pkt tea, 1pkt powder milk was distributed among 16 families. SIO National President Nahas Mala addressing in the media in Panjim raised questions over the implementation of ‘no detention policy’ by the state education department. He discarded the premise that children are not sduying as they are not afraid of failing grades.
