Signature campaigns were conducted in order to highlight the immoral behavior of youth on social networking websites.

On 15th  February, a Students’ Conference was organised at Assembly Hall, Azam Campus, in which Mr. Mohammad Azharuddin (Ex-National President of SIO) and Dr. Wajid Ali Khan (Renowned Islamic Scholar, Aurangabad) were the chief guests.

Dr. Wajid Ali Khan, in his talk on ‘Understanding the Root of all Evils’ encouraged students to marry at right age and to observe the ethics while intermingling with opposite sex. In contrast to the western philosophy of love which fuels indecency and provokes man towards sin and corruption, he held that Islamic concept encourages one to fulfill rights, teaches decency and thereby leads to the development of pious individual and thereby a value-based society.

Mr. Mohammad Azharuddin addressed the gathering on the central theme, ‘Youth for Morality’. He invited students towards rational thinking and social awareness so as to lead the society towards a value-based society. He also put light on wide topics such as decline of moral standards in campuses to sex-education in school curriculum and nature and methodology used by SIO in dealing with such issues. Mr.Azharuddin put forward the need to reconstruct the society on human values of justice, equality and morality.

Congratulating the cadre on successful completion of the campaign, Mr. Azharuddin shared his dream to see the cadre of SIO politically, socially, culturally and morally aware.

He urged the cadre to spread their wings and get engage with a wider audience in campuses.
