PANAJI: Students must uphold democratic traditions and stand united to fight against social evils like poverty, corruption, violence, communalism, etc.

This was stated by Ashfaq Shareef, national president of Students Islamic organization of India at a state-level campaign on the theme of “peace and harmony; towards a better society” recently. The campaign concluded with a students’ convention on the theme “students’ voice for a peaceful India”.

Shareef, who was the chief guest, said that students have to play a role in the progress of the nation.
