SIO welcomes the Delhi High Court decision in Najeeb Ahmed’s case


President SIO of India, Br Nahas Mala welcomes the decision of Delhi High Court which has today decided to transfer the ongoing case of missing JNU student ‘Najeeb Ahmed’ to CBI for further investigation. The two member bench consisting of Justice GS Sistani and Justice Rekha Palli today decided to transfer the case after the plea filed by Mrs Fathima Nafees, mother of Najeeb Ahmed. SIO National President Nahas Mala addressing in the media in Panjim raised questions over the implementation of ‘no detention policy’ by the state education department. He discarded the premise that children are not sduying as they are not afraid of failing grades. Felicitaion for the winners of the essay competition at Bangalore


SIO – Bangalore East Unit conducted an Essay Competition on the theme “Many Religions, One India” at Govt. Minorities Hostel, TC Palya. A total of 17 essays were submitted in English, Hindi, Kannada and Urdu. The Prize Distribution Program was held on 26th April 2017 at the hostel. Around 60 hostel students attended the program. Br. Muhammed Danish (Secretary, SIO Karnataka) addressed the students on the theme “Many Religions, One India”. The hostel warden, Mr. Raghunath, was also present during the occasion. A cash prize of Rs. 1000 was awarded to the best two essay writers.
