Islam for All - Dawah Campaign by SIO Gujarat

Gujarat chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) organized a massive Dawah Campaign across the state under the theme ‘Islam for All’ from 12th to 19th January 2014. The main objective of this campaign was to present the peaceful message of Islam to non-Muslim students, thereby clearing their misconceptions about Islam. The campaign started with programs on ‘Importance of Dawah’ at various units/circles to encourage the spirit of Dawah among Muslims students. Outdoor Dawah field work was the hallmark of the campaign, in which SIO cadre visited various societies, Parks and Public spots and distributed literature about Islam. …

Workshop on how to prepare for Civil Services by SIO Pune

Students Islamic Organisation of India, Pune chapter organized an orientation lecture for graduation and post-graduation students on 29th Jan 2013 at Poona College of Arts, Science & Commerce in Pune in order to spread awareness about UPSC, MPSC & other Civil Service exams. More than 300 students attended in the lecture. Mr. Farooque Naikwade (Founder and Director of Steel Frame Civil Services), Mr. Abdul Rehman (Addl. SIO Tamil Nadu Performs a Mime in an Inter-Religious Harmony Program

‘Thendral Kalaikkuzhu’, a Cultural forum of  SIO Tamil Nadu Zone performed a mime on the theme ‘Lets breathe free’, in an inter-religious harmony program organised by TASK (Towards A Serene Kovai) on the eve of Republic day. District Collector Mrs Archana Patnaik, IAS, was the Chief guest for the event.  It conveyed a message to identify and work for the abolishing of various types of Slavery, which enslaves the thought process of the people directly and indirectly. Intellectual Talent Hunt by SIO Pilibeet

  A writing competition for students from 8th till graduation was conducted by Pilibheet chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India . About 500 students participated in the test. Later, a convention was organised on 19th Jan 2014 in Conference hall of Yuva Sangh Pusstakalay,Pilibheeet to felicitate the toppers. The program was presided over by National secretary of SIO Khaleeq Ahmed Khan and Mr. Aom Narain was the Chief Guest. Tanushi Rathore won the first prize, while Umair Anees and Abhijeet won the second and third prizes respectively.

Lodging protest against the ongoing campus violence across educational institutions of West Bengal, the state chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India, held a rally from Karunamoyee Bus Stand to Mayukh Bhaban via Bikash Bhaban, followed by a representation to Higher Education Minister. The delegation consisting of Mafikul Islam, Central Secretary, Abdullahil Kafi, State Secretary, Kamruj Jamal, Asst. PR Secretary, Helaluddin Ahmed, Campus Secretary and Adv. Khurshid Alam presented a memorandum suggesting possible means to overcome the issue of campus violence especially during student union elections.   A Seminar on ‘Prophet Muhammad (S) as a Social Reformer’ was organised by Hapur chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India (Uttar Pradesh West Region) on 14th Jan 2014. SIO Jabalpur and Mandla units installed Dawah stalls showcasing banners containing teachings of Prophet Muhammad (S) as part of their campaign, “Muhammad (S) for All”. Book counters were also setup for distribution of Islamic literature among the masses.

  In the month that marks the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (S), SIO Pusad unit installed Dawah stalls at two public places, i.e., P.N. College and S.T. Bus Stand in order to spread the message of Prophet. Shoeb Ahmad Khan, Local President of SIO, Sibghatullah Khan, Sayyad Aaquib Rizvi and Mudassir lead the activity. They discussed the message of Islam with the visitors and also gave a brief introduction to Prophet’s life. “Prophet was a man who taught the world the roadmap to eternal success”, said Shoeb Ahmed Khan. Islamic literature was distributed among the visitors.

  A two-day Seerah Convention was organised by Karimnagar chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India. The first day comprised of programs on biography of Prophet (S) followed by Cultural program, presided over by State President of SIO Andhra Pradesh, Iqbal Hussain. A symposium was held on second day on ‘Religious Tolerance – A step towards Nation building” addressed by various religious heads.

Football Tournament for Nagai Junior SIO circles

NAGAI JUNIOR SIO CIRCLES PARTICIPATE IN 'FOOT BALL TOURNAMENT

  The ‘Tarbiya Sports Club’ of Nagapattinam chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India conducted a ‘Football Tournament’ for the associates of Nagore Junior SIO circles. Around 40 students from Maideen Palli, Kollam Palli and Thethi Junior SIO circles participated in the tournament. Students were motivated to take part in sports and other extra-curricular activities. The Winning team will be awarded in the upcoming ‘Junior SIO Fest’.
