The Online protest against coup in Egypt jointly organised by SIO and Egypt Solidarity Forum reached a whopping 1 Lakh accounts on 31st August 2013. More than 6500 people marked their support against the coup on Facebook.

A first of it’s kind, the online protest saw people from across the globe raising their voice against the military coup and the massacre that followed in Egypt. The protest started at 9pm on 31st August 2013 and continued till 12 Midnight.
