The key points discussed in the memorandum are as follows.

Ensuring Democratic Atmosphere: Every student in campus should have the right to raise issues, paste posters and mobilize students in favor of a good cause. Neither any student nor any students organisation should assume that they alone have the right to reign.

Online Nomination: Campus violence mostly happens during nomination for union elections. Relatively powerful student organisations wish to win uncontested. Henc, they try to prevent others from nominations by threatening, harassment and attacks. Online nomination could prevent these kind of acts.

No Involvement of Political Parties and Outsiders: Students are heavily influenced by political organisations. Many a times, it is found that outsiders who are not students enter into the campus and act as miscreants. Therefore, interference of political parties and involvement of outsiders must be stopped.

Active and Unbiased Role of Government: Government should play active and unbiased role whenever any violent incident is reported. Action must be taken irrespective of who is reporting the incident.

Stopping Disorders in the Name of Rights: It is often observed that in the name of rights, students create disorder in the campuses such as dishonoring teachers, damaging campus property, blood shedding, etc. It must be stopped by taking due actions against those who commit so.

Implementation of the Recommendations of Lyngdoh commission: Recommendations of Lyngdoh commission can help reduce campus violence. Henc, they should be implemented as it is.
