SIO welcomes the Parliamentary panel report on sex education

by | Feb 11, 2010

The central secretariat of the Students Islamic Organization of India (SIO) welcomed the report of parliamentary committee that there should be no sex education in schools. The secretariat also expressed satisfaction that the nationwide campaign conducted by SIO has ultimately yielded good result. The report had agreed with almost all the points suggested by SIO to the committee. SIO campaign had raised concern that the proposed condom education program is unwise and ridiculous to be given to small school going kids and that it will create adverse effect and will instigate uncontrolled sexual relationships in the young generation. Though the report has been submitted, now it is to be made sure that the report is implemented by the government. The central secretariat of SIO also warned the CBSE that if it is intending to go forward with the program without considering the report, SIO will launch a nationwide student’s agitation against it.
