A first of its kind, Tamil Nadu chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India conducted a 9-day Educational Caravan in the Southern districts of the state covering over 1200 km with the message ‘Education for All’.

The caravan covered various places such as Melur, Ramanathapuram, Kayalpattinam, Kadaiyanallur, Virudunagar, Thirumangalam, Kambam, Theni, Dindigul and Madurai. It mainly concentrated on places resided by Dalits, Muslims and other Backward Classes.

The Caravan addressed various issues such as School Drop-outs, Child labour, Lust for foreign jobs, Values-less Educational System, ‘Engineering Only’ as Career option and also conveyed the importance of Education that is based on Morality and which ensures over-all development of students.

Several Corner meetings, Higher Education Guidance programs, Teachers meets, Film Screenings, Meets with Educationists and Cultural programs were conducted as part of the Caravan. Br.Salahudeen, ZAC member, co-ordinated the whole Caravan.
