SIO Raichur successfully organised district level cultural competitions

Students advised to actively participate in cultural activities

In today’s world, students are running towards careerism & materialism, becoming insensitive & irresponsible towards society. Today’s cultural & entertainment tools , which are influencing & shaping the society has been vulgarized & westernized, which is causing great harm to our society & culture. Students are future of our nation, if they become responsible towards society & actively utilise their talents in right direction  & constructive way, especially in cultural & entertainment field , then the dream of healthy , constructive & developed society will be achieved. SIO as a responsible students organisation has decided to organise a mega event of national cultural competitions with the theme “student’s festival ’12 “ to promote dicnity & ethics as the basis of edutainment, to strenthen the spirit of brotherhood while promoting talents & skills & to harvest the spirit of healthy competitions amongst students. Br. Asadulla Khan, Asst. Convener students festival ’12 Karnataka said here in a concluding programme of district level cultural competitions organised by SIO Raichur at Crescent P.U. College Campus, Raichur.

Poem recitation, extempore elocution, mimecry, mono act, drama, street play & mime competitions were conducted, in which more than 200 students participated from various talukas of Raichur district. Winners & runners were awarded with certificate, memento & gift, while participation certificate was given to all participants. District winners will participate in state level competitions & state winners in national level competitions.

Mr. Somalingappa from Sindhnoor, Mr. Sabza Ali from Manvi & Br. Khaleel from Bagalkot also addressed the gathering. In a presidential address, Br. Mohd Ali Murtaza, D.O. SIO Raichur congratulated winners & advised all students to actively participate & utilise their talents in cultural & entertainment field to build a healthy, constructive & developed society.

Programme started with recitation of Holy Quran by Br. Mazharuddin, inagrual address was delivered by Br. Sadiq Pasha, District Convener Students Festival Raichur & vote of thanks by Br. Mohammed Maaz Salman Maniyar, Unit President, SIO Raichur. Syed Mujtaba Hasan Razvi was convener of programme.

Janab Syed Jafar Ali , City Presicent, JIH Raichur, Janab Shameemuddin Hyder, Janab Noor Javeed Maniyar, Janab Saleem Pasha, Br. Zakir Ali, U.P. SIO Sindhnur, Br. Aleem Khan , U.S.  SIO Manvi, Br. Sajid Imran, Br. Shaaz Qurram, U.S. SIO Raichur were also present on the occasion.
