SIO organised Iftar Get together and Interaction for Academicians and activists

New Delhi (18/07/2014): Students Islamic Organization of India (SIO) conducted Iftar Get together and Interaction for Political leaders, Social activist, media person, educationist and students leaders and other VIPs of Delhi on 18th July Friday 6 pm at India Islamic Cultural Centre, New Delhi. Israrul Haq Qasmi(Member of Parliament, Kishanganj) was the Chief guest of the program. The program started with Inaugural words by Sarwar Hasan, General Secretary of SIO. He welcomed all the dignitaries and explains organizational work across the country. he said that ‘ our nation is engaged in many issue and problems like poverty, unemployment, communal clash, economic problem etc, the purpose of today gathering is also to have talk with different organisations, individuals and understand one another’.

MaulanaAsrarul Haque Qasmi (MP, Kishanganj), Muhammad Ijaz Aslam(Editor, Radiance views weekly) felicitated at the function.

Mushthaq Ahmed (senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India), Sirajudheen Qureshi( President, India Islamic Cultural Centre), Udit Raj ( President, Lok Raj Sangathan ) , Safdar H. Khan ( ex-minority commission chairman )were also present at the function. Professors from Delhi University and Jamia Millia Islamia, Journalists, social activists and students’ activists from JNU, JMI and DU were also participated. SIO Delhi Zone President Zahid Hussain welcomed the guests and SIO National Secretary Shariq Ansar delivered vote of thanks. The gathering concluded with a shared iftar meal and lively discussion of contemporary issues. There was 60 dignitaries that participated in the get together.
