Kolkata (30.03. 2012) : Sio Kolkata organized a peaceful demonstration and rally in solidarity with Palestine on the accusation of Land day and Global March to Jerusalem on 30th march 2012 at Calcutta university.

On the occasion of Land Day, The Global March to Jerusalem has been taken for the 1st time with collaboration of 600 NGO, in 35 countries across the world, in advisory committee of which, there were diverse personality like Desmond Tutu, Sheikh Tamimi, Siddique Hasan of JIH.

In this prog, students across the city gathered at college square and shouted for the right of Palestine, followed by a rally.

At the end, Dr Mikhail Islam and Khalid Khan gave their short speech regarding the significance of such solidarity. It ended with the concluding speech by city president Shadab Masum.
