SIO delegation meets Sachin Pilot

New Delhi: (06/09/12) A delegation of Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) met Sachin Pilot, Union Minister of State, Communications and Information Technology, at his residence, New Delhi.
SIO leaders introduced various national activities of organisation on education, campuses, social and moral upliftment of students’ community and further introduced SIO’s upcoming Students Festival. Elaborating the aims and objectives- to promote Dignity and Ethics as the basis of Edutainment, to strengthen the Spirit of Brotherhood, while promoting Talents and Skills and to harvest the spirit of healthy competition amongst students- of fest, delegation invited him to be the Chief Guest of concluding conference of Students’ Festival.

 He appreciated SIO’s efforts for betterment of education and students community and said he would try his best to attend the concluding conference. Delegation consisted of Shariq Ansar, Shaukat Ali and Kashif Ahmad.

SIO delegation meet Chairperson National Minority Commission

New Delhi: (06/09/12) A delegation of Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) met Mr. Wajahat Habibullah, Chairperson, National Minority Commission, New Delhi.

The 20 minutes long discussion was focused on minorities’ issues, illegal detention of Muslims students and youths and Assam violence. SIO expressed its serious concern on illegal detentions of Muslim youths and students and urged commission to take affirmative step against inhuman and illegal act. SIO expressed its distress on Assam turmoil and besought commission to scrutinize the identity and security conflict.

He praised the struggle of SIO for social justice and extended support to SIO in its endeavours of educational and social reforms. The delegation consisted of Sharique Ansar, Shaukat Ali and Kashif Ahmad.
