SIO Bihar observes Martyrs’ Day on Jan 30

30th January marks the assassination of Father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi, which is also observed as Martyrs’ day across the country. On this occasion, Paigham-e-Mohabbat 2014 organised a corner meet at Daak Bungalow in Patna. Bihar chapter of the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) also actively participated in this program. SIO organized a human chains, corner meets and candle march in various districts of Bihar including Sitamarhi, Araria, Katihar, Patna etc.

State President of SIO Bihar, Mohammed Anwar said that Gandhiji remains alive because of his ideology and thoughts. He further said that his contribution in building a better India is not just academic or political, but laid down his life for this cause. He reminded that Gandhiji’s message of communal harmony and non-violence needs to be spread in today’s time of fascist propaganda.
