SIO Bhatkal extends its support to Anna Hazare

Bhatkal, 8th April 2011: “Corruption has strengthened its roots deep into every governmental department in India Today. A common man is harassed in many ways be able to practice is own rights. Anna Hazare’s cause is for the betterment of the people of our nation. We support him and his cause, as this Gandhian Strategy can be milestone in benefitting the common man in many ways,” said Abdul Hameed, District Organiser of Uttara Kannada addressing the gathering of student supporters at Shamsuddin circle.
“Most of Hazare’s supporters believe they are part of a wave that will create history again, almost like the independence struggle spearheaded by Mahatma Gandhi. With anti-corruption fervor rising among the youth, there is solemnity in the movement to ensure the flame does not die out.” said the secretary of Bhatkal Unit of SIO, Riyaz Ron on the occasion.
Students of various schools and colleges in Bhatkal came together and joined their hands for the cause at Bhatkal Shamsuddin Circle under the banner of Students Islamic Organisation. They expressed their opinions and concern over the grave problems. They displayed their solidarity and called the people to support Hazare’s movement.
“Bribery is a sin in Islam also. We consider this movement as an Islamic move as well and we aim to dig this up from its roots,” said Naseef Ikkery, Public Relations secretary, SIO, Bhatkal.
People who were present on the occasion included Abdul Tauwab, unit president of Bhatkal, SIO; Zubair Moulana and S M Shakeel, members of Jamaat e Islami Hind.
