by | Feb 7, 2014

SIO Bihar held a press conference in Patna on 5th of feb 2014 and talked to media about the current educational scenario of Bihar. Br Khalique Ahmad, National Secretary, SIO, and Br. Md Anwar, Zonal President, SIO Bihar addressed the media. Br. Md Anwar said, in Bihar there is little bit scope for Higher education. With only one central university in Bihar, there is no decline, in migration of students from Bihar to other states for the purpose higher education. After the passing of Private University Bill, different private universities have been established, but this minimal effort cannot bring the desired change in the educational scenario of Bihar. SIO demands that the branches of JNU, BHU etc should be opened in Bihar like AMU branch at Kishanganj. The state of primary and secondary education system is also very disappointing. Different educational schemes like Mid-day Meal etc have failed to make an impact due to lack of quality education despite good infrastructure facilities. These are the major challenges of education in Bihar.
Br Khalique Ahmad introduced the North India Education Movement (NIEM) and said SIO has unleashed a movement called (NIEM) for changing the educational scenario of North India.
